Finally, RPM-based.org is born. RPM-based is going to aim at providing tutorial, how-tos, tips and tricks for... :) RPM-based distros.

As with its elder brother Debuntu.org [1], RPM-based.org will be a web site dedicated at how-tos and tutorial for GNU/Linux, however, articles displayed here will be more oriented toward RPM based distribution such as Red Hat [2], Fedora [3] and CentOS [4].
I hesitated for long if whether or not rpm-based.org should be part or debuntu.org, a sub-domain or a separate site. Finally the poll decided to have a separate site, so here it comes, brandly named RPM-based.org.
Then, why RPM-based when there is already a lot of good Fedora/RedHat/CentOS community sites. Well, like for debuntu.org, I wanted to write down the experience I gain every time I work with Linux. So many time I found myself having to re-do some configurations I have already done in the past and spent hours to get it working.
Writing the articles down take me some time but in another hand I know where to find the information I need next time ;) and won't have to spend hours digging out the knowledge I once had.

And of course, as those articles are usually built upon different resources on the Internet, a web site is a great way to spread out the work you have done and help others saving some time.
The feedback from Debuntu.org [5] are pretty encouraging and I hope RPM-based.org will have the same positive impact.
